For close to 25 years now, I have devoted myself to preparing students in mathematics — most of that time coaching for the IIT JEE, one of the most competitive math and engineering entrance exams in the world. To give some context for parents who haven't come across it before: JEE has an acceptance rate far lower than most Ivy League schools, and it's the exam nearly every top Indian engineer has had to clear.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of coaching students to All-India Ranks of 4, 16, 17, 21, 25, 34, 51 and many more, and mentoring over 300 IITians and thousands more who went on to NITs and other top engineering programs. But what I'm actually proud of isn't the ranks — it's watching a student who was convinced they "just weren't a math person" turn a corner and start enjoying the subject.
That's the same philosophy behind TruMath's Ontario courses. The curriculum is different — MHF4U isn't JEE — but the approach is identical: build real understanding, make students do the solving themselves, and track progress honestly instead of hoping for the best.
I'm excited to bring that same teaching to Ontario students, and to help them build the kind of confidence in math that opens doors later — university programs, careers, and beyond.
