The TruMath Method

Classroom comes home

TruMath is built around one idea: a class should feel like sitting in an offline lesson — solving problems as you go — not passively watching a screen. Every class is interactive and pre-recorded, so the student learns math online at their own pace, in their own time, with a self-assessment test every 2 weeks to prove what's actually sticking.

Interactive pre-recorded classes

Not passive watching — the student solves questions inside every class, just like an offline lesson, but at their own pace and in their own time.

3 classes a week

A steady, structured rhythm — short and focused, not an overwhelming weekly marathon.

Self-assessment tests every 2 weeks

Regular, low-pressure self-assessment checkpoints that show exactly what's sticking — and what needs another look.

Practice assignments + full solutions

A practice assignment every 3 classes, each with a complete video solution — so the student can watch the working, and find the exact step that went wrong.

Parents kept informed

Email updates on attendance and progress, so there is always a clear picture of how the student is progressing.

A private tutor, once a week

Teaching time
About one hour a week, face to face.
When it happens
A set day and time, booked in advance.
Inside the lesson
Live explanation, with questions answered on the spot.
Practice
Whatever the tutor sets that week.
Progress checks
Discussed during the session.
Typical cost
Charged by the hour at $50–$100, session by session.

TruMath — Classroom comes home

Teaching time
The full course, and every class replayable as many times as it takes.
When it happens
Any time — at the student’s own pace, in their own time.
Inside the lesson
Interactive: the student solves questions inside every class, just like an offline lesson.
Practice
An assignment every 3 classes, each with a full video solution.
Progress checks
A self-assessment test every 2 weeks, with progress emailed to parents.
Typical cost
$99 a month for unlimited classes, or $399 for the full six-month course. Every class can be watched as many times as the student needs — the price never changes.

A whole month at TruMath — every class, watched as many times as it takes — for roughly what one or two tutoring sessions cost.

See It For Yourself

"Interactive" means the student is solving, not watching

This is what a question inside a TruMath class looks like — answer it, and the working is right there. Every class is built the same way, so the student is doing the maths, not watching someone else do it.

TRY ONE NOW

Grade 9 · MTH1W

Evaluate: −3 + 5 × (−2)2 − 12 ÷ (−4)

Powers first: (−2)2 = 4. Then multiply and divide before adding: 5 × 4 = 20 and 12 ÷ (−4) = −3, so −3 + 20 + 3 = 20.

Grade 10 · MPM2D

Factor: x2 + 7x + 12

Look for two numbers that multiply to 12 and add to 7. That is 3 and 4, which gives (x+3)(x+4).

Grade 11 · MCR3U

Evaluate: 163/4

The denominator is the root and the numerator is the power. The fourth root of 16 is 2, and 23 = 8.

Ontario Curriculum

Every online math class the student needs, grade 9 through 12

MHF4U, MCV4U and MCR3U aren't just "senior math" — they're prerequisites for engineering, computer science, and business programs at nearly every Ontario university. Getting these right matters more than most students realize at the time.

Each course builds on the one before it. Most Grade 12 students take Advanced Functions and Calculus and Vectors in the same year.

Grade 9 · De-streamed
MTH1W

Building the foundation — linear relations, measurement, and the number-sense that every later course depends on.

Grade 10 · Academic
MPM2D

Quadratics, trigonometry, and analytic geometry — the course that determines confidence going into senior math.

View course →
Grade 11 · Functions
MCR3U

Exponential, trig, and rational functions — a university prerequisite for engineering, business, and science programs.

View course →
Grade 12 · Advanced Fn.
MHF4U

The most university-critical Ontario math course. Advanced functions, taught by someone who's coached this level for 25 years.

Grade 12 · Calculus
MCV4U

Limits, derivatives and vectors — required for engineering, physics and computer science, and where first-year university calculus begins.

Proven Teaching, Now Built for Ontario

A 25-year teaching track record behind every Ontario course

These former students were taught under other curricula earlier in Sachin's career. Their results show the depth of teaching now applied to TruMath's Ontario-specific MTH1W, MPM2D, MCR3U, MHF4U and MCV4U courses.

Meet Your Teacher

"For close to 25 years, I've devoted myself to helping students truly understand math — not memorize it. That same approach now powers TruMath's Ontario courses."

— Sachin, Founder of TruMath. Formerly coached students to top ranks in IIT JEE, one of the most competitive exams in the world, before bringing that teaching to Ontario students.
