For close to 25 years, I’ve helped students build their understanding of mathematics. Much of that journey was in India, preparing students for the IIT JEE.
I’ve had the privilege of mentoring over 300 IITians and teaching students who achieved All-India Ranks including 4, 16, 17 and 21. Those outcomes matter. So does the quieter change: a student who stops saying “I’m just not a math person.”
“Math isn’t meant to be memorized. It’s meant to be understood.”
That belief is at the heart of TruMath. The Ontario curriculum is different, but the approach is the same: explain clearly, make students think for themselves, and give them the time and practice to build confidence.
